ART COUNSELLOR BIO  |

MICHELLE REDGRAVE-MOORE

I've worked in Art & Design for more than 25 years and travelled extensively around the world in various roles within the events industry for the corporate sector. I continue to freelance as a graphic designer in the corporate sector and provide website design for small business and start-ups under my brand - graphic spot

I've been fortunate enough to exhibit in London and locally over the past decade sharing my creative exploration of various themes, working in mixed media.

I have an appreciation for form and colour and recognise the healing potential of the natural environment.
My creative interests and my personal experience of art as a catalyst for healing inspired me to qualify as a Transpersonal Arts Counsellor (City and Guilds Level 7 Award -  MCGI). I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

This qualification enables me to use the creative arts as a means to facilitate others in their healing and
self-development as a form of artistic psychotherapy.

I've worked with children while in clinical placement and facilitate Children's creative events. I have experience working with older adults (Dementia), adults with special needs and in the mental health sector -  working individually or in groups.

I currently have a Arts Counselling Private Practice and facilitate weekly art groups for older adults within a care home and residential environment. When possible, I organise music and art events for adults with special needs and create bespoke creative children's parties.

I'm passionate about inclusive creative collaboration and promote 'creativity in community' facilitating a monthly community arts group - Bridges Creative Café. In June 2018, I launched the Dandelion Project which is a monthly creative and social meeting place for older adults. At various times throughout the year I run a variety of creative workshops for adults/children.

Aside from my design and therapeutic roles, I'm a visiting tutor at Tobias School of Art & Therapy, East Grinstead teaching modules: 'Working with  Older People,  'Working with Special Needs', 'Workshop Practicalities', 'Branding &Marketing Yourself' and co-facilitated a Summer 2016 course 'I-Kandinsky' Exploring the word of synesthesia.
